SPECIAL TOWING INFORMATION:
Towing a camper trailer might seem daunting, but OBK WORLD trailers are designed to be small, lightweight, and safe, making them suitable for drivers who are new to towing.
To tow our trailers, you will need the following:
Any SUV, Truck, or Jeep with a class 1 or higher hitch and a minimum towing capacity of 2500 lbs.
A 7-pin RV trailer electrical hookup. If you only have a 4-pin flat electrical hookup, we provide an adapter that converts it to a 7-pin connection. This powers the trailer's onboard brake controller and charges its battery. However, these lightweight teardrops can also be towed without using electric brakes.
At the time of pick-up, we can supply the correct 2" ball hitch receiver to ensure safe towing.
You must be 23 years old or older with a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle liability insurance.

A credit card is required for payment and as a security deposit.
If you don't have a trailer hitch:
You can rent a vehicle that already has a tow hitch.
Alternatively, we can recommend a workshop to install a hitch for you with additional fees.
We strive to provide options and assistance to ensure a smooth towing experience for our customers, regardless of their previous towing equipment or experience.

PAYMENT:
A Cash Security Deposit of AED3500/trailer will be given to OBK WORLD by the customer on Drop off Date or by transfer before at least 7 days of the booking date. For Group bookings, the cash security deposit will be increased based on the size of the booking (number of guests). This Deposit will be held against any damage, loss, or breakage where the value is under the value of the Cash Security Deposit.
INSURANCE:
The liability coverage for our OBK WORLD camper trailers is linked to the tow vehicle (your car). According to legal requirements, your existing auto policy will provide liability coverage for the camper trailer. Some auto insurance companies may ask you to contact them before your trip, and they will provide you with a printed proof of liability coverage called a "Binder." You must either email this proof to us or bring it with you on the day of departure. As the renter, you are responsible for the AED 3,500 deductible. Our insurance company does not allow us to release the trailer to a substitute driver, such as a spouse, child, parent, or friend. If you need to make changes to your rental reservation, please contact us, and we will assist you.
Additionally, we offer the option to purchase supplemental liability insurance (SLI) directly from Off The Grid Rentals' insurance provider, MBA SLI Insurance. SLI provides additional insurance coverage for the renter, offering third-party liability coverage of up to AED 3,500,000 for bodily injury liability and AED 1,500,000 for property damage liability on rental trailers. SLI is extra insurance coverage that extends beyond your underlying liability coverage. For trailers, this coverage is in addition to the liability coverage provided by the towing vehicle.

By including these safety measures in our trailers, we prioritize the well-being of our customers during emergencies.
Fire extinguishers can be used to control small fires by aiming at the base of the fire and sweeping side to side.
Fire blankets smother fires by covering them entirely, especially those involving people or flammable liquids.
Our trailers are equipped with GPS trackers for safety purposes. These trackers allow us to monitor the speed and location of our trailers. It is important to maintain the connection with the GPS tracker throughout your trip. Any disconnection of the GPS tracker will result in the voiding of your deposit. In such cases, our team will contact you directly to cancel the trip. Failure to respond may result in your case being escalated to the Dubai Authority for immediate action. Ensuring a secure and connected GPS tracker is essential for maintaining safety and the integrity of our services.
